I think the original claim that Hicks later saw an ad from a pro-life group airing during a Letterman episode is possible - there was a series of ads called "Life: What a Beautiful Choice" that aired quite a lot on mainstream TV during that era. The jump to believing that they were a major sponsor of his is dubious.

OK - I know you know everything, but could you clarify for the lesser folk? :)

I think I reacted the way Weiner wanted the viewer to react - at first I was very confused, and as I slowly put two and two together, I started to laugh really hard. I think it was supposed to be cynical but also kind of funny.

"Charlie." Did people really ever call him that?

I think you're right. Thank you.

I did fear that something like that might happen. I also lost track of time a bit and thought that the ganging up on Bob might be the end. I was very glad that it was not.

Thanksgiving at Fischoeder's (actual title "An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal").

Who was the falsetto voice on "99 Red Balloons?" I thought Edith or a Pesto twin, but neither seemed quite right.

It is that voice, isn't it? Good ears.

Ugh - Law is 43. The mid-to-late-50s sometimes happens (John Paul II was 58), but never younger than that. This is ridiculous.

Young Pope, be free tonight/Time is on your side/Don't let them put you down/Don't let them push you around/Don't ever let them change your point of view.

Actually, Dan Castellaneta should get the most if they were to go that route. He does almost as many voices as Shearer or Azaria and the main character besides.

I guess it depends on how strict the standards are. At some schools you pretty much only need a pulse to get into the NHS.

I haven't seen one of those in a while.

I thought it was not that great - it felt thrown together to me.

I am only an occasional watcher of the show - has it been established what kinds of grades Sue gets? I was a bit surprised that she was not in the Honor Society.

That tweet from Jean really has a bitter edge to it.

His podium lit up, though. I was quite surprised.

Imagine if she had been against Neil Flynn and Penn Jillette.
