Justified did that in S3 when Carla Gugino was NOT Karen Sisco. She's supposed to be an assistant director of the Marshals and she wore 5-inch heels to go after a fugitive.

And the Newsroom even used a Justified actor to do it.

That really bugged me, too. Aunt Helen was possibly more important to Raylan than his mama, and yet no mention of her? Wrong, Mr. Yost, just wrong.

The reason the interaction with Winona was important was that while you are right that we knew Raylan wanted to be with her, we didn't - and more importantly - Raylan - didn't know she wanted to be with him. Now he does. He hadn't met his daughter - now he has.

I agree about Reckoning. The scene with Dicky Bennett in the woods is one of the best of the series. But, there are five more episodes to go…Olyphant could still bring it. Or, he could get the Kyle Chandler Emmy Award for a job well done.

I am so so sick of the Glory that is Breaking Bad/Mad Men/The Wire. Breaking Bad was good. It was dark and twisty and showed the moral decline of a modern average Joe in a way that really hadn't been done before on television. I never got Mad Men. Meh. The Wire was magnificent television. But….none of them were

At the time of the pilot, they nixed that because they thought making Raylan an absentee father would lead to less sympathy for the character. They also skewed it younger. In the books, Raylan's boys are late teens. (and he doesn't sleep with Ava)

It was actually TO's idea to have the baby. Raylan is a father in the books, and he thought it was important for the character development.

Raylan and Winona will always be drawn back to each other. It's not just about Winona's poor choices, it's about his poor choices as well, and he's the main character, so it's really all about him. ;)

I thought her hair was kind of a mess last night…and her clothes were rumpled. She looked tired and every inch the new mom. And…she wasn't flying out the next day, she was taking Willa to the doctor and visiting family. She was going home the following day.

Yep.

Boyd didn't retort because everything Ava said was true and he knows it. If he had truly wanted to help her, he would've done it no matter what she said. At some level, he feels guilty for abandoning her.

Winona didn't 'pack up and move to Florida' Raylan sent her to Florida after Nicky Augustine's thugs tried to murder her and their unborn child to get him to give them Drew Thompson. She didn't leave him…he sent her away so she would be safe from the aftershocks of his recklessness.

This! She could go to the courthouse to show off the baby and Judge Reardon could make his requisite final season appearance to hold Willa and leer at Winona's boobs.

I like the way your dad thinks.

I got the feeling it was a joke between them. I bet they watched a lot of movies together.

Yost said there were, like, six babies so they had them in all possible moods. LOL.

What I loved about the scene with the baby was that it wasn't all backlit and sweet with the baby smiling and cooing. It was gd real and Raylan and Winona were real, too. Looks like they both grew up a little bit. I really loved those scenes.
