And Don DeLillo's "Libra" caused me to believe that the JFK assassination was arranged by the mob or something like that. My brain is apparently highly susceptible to recency effects. 

Honestly, the plot synopsis on iMDB doesn't sound like it could be for the same movie, though I know it is. 
And before this gets me any more sucked in, I want to know what law y'all are talking about. 

Help me out here… What movie are you guys all talking about?

I was disappointed that the link went to the wrong Crash movie.  I'm one of the only people I know who has seen this movie, so was dying to read more about it.  It was such a beautifully made film about such an… odd subject.  I still find it hard to believe it actually exists.
