I've seen it twice and any story problems (I mean, I'm not stupid, I see 'em there) just weren't a big enough deal to stop me from enjoying the mythology and the beautiful set designs and action.

This looks fantastic. I'm all in.
Mmm…. instant stiffy.
Agreed.
Yeah, it's like he assures her that yes, it's cheating and yes it may ruin her life but then gives her the big thumbs up to go "totally not actually have sex just this one time with a super hot guy who fulfills her deepest desires".
"Just this once" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Also! I love that they both mention it's just "this one time".
Seriously. I wanted to lose my shit reading what essentially amounted to him basically telling her to go meet a complete stranger with some very minor "safety" shit in place and totally "not have actual sex but yes cheat and possibly ruin your entire life".
Ok I read like 3 lines down and apparently it's still terrible. Thanks people!
Now THAT sounds like the show for me.
I don't trust the AVClub reviewers after last weeks horrible episode they thought was not horrible.
Oh god SNL, don't give them any ideas for more movies. Somewhere there's a pastor/producer/amateur-fox-news-commentator scribbling notes furiously.
THANK YOU. I'm really worried that they chose this to open the season. If this was their best foot forward then holy hell this season is gonna be terrible.
Such a bad episode on every level. I mean, what the hell.
I had a lot of hope for this episode. First season really struggled to figure out what to do with some good characters and ideas and I had hoped they would have taken the time to rectify that this season.
No.
Agreed. It's really boring radio compared to the other games.
Came here to make sure Weird Al's "Christmas at Ground Zero" was on the list. Did not leave disappointed. Carry on AV Club. Carry on.
I think this reaction is probably completely normal. I wouldn't have any real interest in following what someone else did with my creation, you have to divorce yourself from it I think.
It wasn't NOT my fan fiction.
