I don't really see how it's that much of a different look. Pixar always comes up with a bunch of UPA style concept art that only has a small relation to the final design. The artists at Pixar are so into 60's design, what a bunch of hipsters.

I guess you see so many with his name on that you forget about the great shorts he did from his mediocre ones.
Because I can't reply directly to The Drainpipe. I agree Freleng is underrated and depending what day I would put him above Jones as he leans more to Disneyesque sentiment sometimes. I forgot McKimson but I like his shorts to especially his Foghorn Leghorn ones.
They have there charms but I don't think they come close to the craziness of any Fleischer or Looney Tunes short.
