I beg your pardon, but where's FLESH GORDON?!!!

Yes, my understanding is that right now she is just too busy being rich. According to the New York Post she was actually named for the jewelry store.

The biggest thing I remember about that movie is some guy singing that "faggots are maggots" while he mows his astroturf.

Only two bits I remember:

Never could stand Foghorn Leghorn.

Remember watching a Speedy cartoon in the first grade where the cat tries to trap him with a brothel that says "senioritas" in neon lights. The teacher asked us what "senioritas" means and we all yelled out "Girls!". Must have left an impression.

Well, OK. Really, I'm only looking at these movies as movies and don't assume that they have any real world consequences. Know that it is very easy to root for the underdog and it takes absolutely no imagination at all. "Challenging the ruling class" is not a political stance of any real meaning. It's like Indiana

As we have established that slobs vs snobs movies do not really threaten the ruling class either, anti-capitalist films would not be subversive either. (In fact, I suppose by your definition it would be impossible for a film to be called subversive unless it translated into actual regime change).

Well, again, I like to think of them as superhero movies for James Bond villains. I'll cheerfully grant you that the the message of the film is the same that "every single ruling class has loudly proclaimed from time eternal: the rich deserve to be rich and everyone else needs to shut the hell up and let them be

I never read the novels.

For the sake of simplicity, I would compare the first of each series. Better acted, maybe. I would question being "better produced" (i.e. "better made)" particularly if we are talking about the heavily edited (within the realm of the PG-13 rating) Hunger Game battles. Better written I would definitely argue about. I

You care to define these terms? Or explain to me what the intent of THE HUNGER GAMES really is and how we are able to ascertain this?

I swear, the ATLAS SHRUGGED movies get a bad rap. They are really not that much sillier than THE HUNGER GAMES movies and they are less safe and more subversive. I like to think of them as superhero movies for James Bond villains.

I'm too lazy to look. Has he ever played a straight villain before? Dude could pull it off…

THE ROAD TO WELLVILLE looks to be a real oddity and I wish that I could see it. The DVD seems to have been out-of-print for a long time and is not carried by Netflix. If nothing else, it introduced us to Jacob Reynolds.

Not a very good game. Not very good satire.

Yeah. It's hard being me. :(

So… did anybody rub one out to cartoon Annie? Particularly when she was crying?

I don't assume that everyone has a Blu-Ray player, but I do assume that
everybody has Netflix and it wouldn't be worth getting this on DVD if
you can just watch it on Netflix. DVD doesn't provide enough added
value, but Blu-Ray does.
