My dad and uncles were big TOS fans growing up, so I was kind of always familiar with the series, who the good and bad guys were, the magic of transporters, etc. I was 6 when the first TNG season aired. At home, it came on at like 10 or 11 pm on Fridays, so I didn't see a lot of the early episodes. Later on I was able

Skipskatte, interesting point about finding that we're the only ones who are mostly straight. That gives the ep a little more heft, IMO.

… and a third time? ;-)

Good ol' "Franglais." I spoke a lot of that in French Class in high school.

Highly Illogical, I posted your comment to my Facebook (with credit, of course). I think you've just started a new Internet meme.

Deep, ToddG!

U LEAVE ME BREATHLESS

I love Fat Captain Frasier! Also, it is indeed a great episode. It's interesting and fun and a little suspenseful.

Captain Costanza, the USS Employment Agency is hailing us.

You mean an IUD? Now we just need a BoyUD.

Do you know what his ship was?

The whole blog is hilarious, and it helps that it's written by Trek fans. Go back towards the beginning and find the entry for The Royale.

Prole, and really everyone, that/s a really good point. I knew I liked the Inner Light, and y'all are articulating why. It takes a good ep to generate good discussion!

Damn, you told me. I think it's hilarious.

I dunno, Bad Horse. They show Picard getting pretty emotional (for him) at the end of the episode, and the flute, the symbolic of his experience, comes up 3 or 4 more times on TNG.

Zack, I agree with your assessment. There's a lot that could have been done to make the episode more powerful, but really, it just wasn't good at any point.

I can't wait until DS9 is reviewed so I can comment on every thread about how TNG did it better ;-).
