Yeah, it becomes obvious by season 10 where the series was headed. I still like seasons 9-12 myself, but the style does move away from the quality that we had in 3-8.

I'm really excited for season 9 coverage. It's a good season with some very interesting contextual bumps: The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson, The Cartridge Family, Lisa the Skeptic, The Joy of Sect, Lisa The Simpson, This Little Wiggy, Simpson Tide… wow there is way too many classic in this season for me to list.

This is a Lisa episode; they typically aren't hilarious, but lower-key and higher minded, like Lisa!

To hell with cartoons, I'm going to write that sitcom about the sassy robot.

The fact that the writers typically used Lisa as a sympathetic feminist character is probably why I've never been off put by the feminist views associated with her. When the show made Lisa Lion Heart it really shows all sides (fanatic little girls, gay men who love camp, older women who grew up with it so its what

SEASON NIIIIIIIIIIIINE!… Well when are we going to get rowdy?

Treehouse of Wonder: A Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Whimsy anthology series that
adapts classic stories and movies with characters from The Simpsons. Would be an amazing anthology series. Take the one aspect of The Simpsons that has aged (arguably) the best and make a series out of it. Get really obscure episodes like things from

Not long ago, the FOX Network approached the producers of The Simpsons with a simple request: thirty-five new shows to fill a few holes in their programming lineup. That’s a pretty daunting task, and the producers weren’t up to it.

Well, that makes two of us.

That line usually gets cut in syndication… I wonder why.

Principal and the Pauper needs a review with reflectivity included in it. Arguably the episode betrayed viewers expectation, but it isn't a bad episode.

YES! That's why rubbernecking is a thing! Plus there's still highlight in the season.

I still would love to see a Simpsons spin-off series. Maybe not a full half-hour, but some clips online of something of original content highlight the non-Simpsons.

It's true, what can be said about this episode that hasn't been talked about already. Everyone knows the argument and the praise. I find that most of these episodes are so well done and well known that I can't really say anything about them, other then quoting them.

This was a great episode with such a weird moment of extreme violence. I get that its supposed to be shocking (congrats Daredevil team, it was), but it doesn't fit with this episode. This should have been a lower key affair, where the focus of the legal work and their living situation was the major draw, and it was.

My god! a post not about the show sucks! STOP THE PRESSES (lays down paper on the conveyer belt) START THE PRESSES!

From what I know of Pain and Gain, it's Micheal Bay's best move. I think the biggest problem would be that his movies are to straight on. Even the questionable movies on this list have a twist to them that forces the viewer to think twice about what they are viewing; IMO that is key to a quality movie.

No, I was just using the "bad" examples to highlight the difference between enjoyment and quality. I personally really like American Pie; it's a typical gross out humor with little flecks of smart insight.

There's a difference between enjoy and good. Lots of people enjoy Transformers, American Pie, and Twilight, but that doesn't make them good.

This is easily the most well constructed list on A.V Club I've ever seen (I've been coming here for about 4 years.) The order may not be everyone's ideal, but this list is probably the best collection of films for the past 15 years. There is shit left out, but I agree more often then not on this list and I'm planning
