I wholeheartedly agree with this article. The mentality of classic T.V is deplorable, and I think it's the fault of how we don't consider it in the same area as classic film. I don't think I have ever seen a T.V. studies course in a university before.

Mr. Hadlen that was an excellent review, a little too gushing of praise (I guess that's what you get when you don't watch the series very much), but I think you missed the point of "that rich kid Gavin".

Obviously he isn't a fan of The Simpsons.

I agree; it's like stepping into a field of landmines that explode in capslock.

Damn, you're right.

To this day, that is the measure of Bollywood movies.

In all fairness most consider season 8 the final "classic" season, while 9 was the last season to have Phil Hartman.

It's a little strange how there is only about 4-5 characters we see in those clips; most of them are Bart and Homer.

It's really sad that so many people actually thought that's what it really said… I was included in that group for years.

It goes to show just how constraints are just as important as creative freedom.

I do as well, but it's probably for the same reasons they used to burn old episode reels back in the early days of T.V. They didn't realise that people would want to see that stuff.

This episode, while archaic in the internet era, is still very important in The Simpsons narrative. The clip show format is almost never fun when bing-watching tv series (simpsons and a few other shows are an exception), but The Simpsons took a couple different swings at the format (self-aware, inserting never before

It's good to know that there is even more ways that we can have other people make up our minds for us. Who needs this thing called free and independent thought when we have aggregated scores!

So was the citadel floating in the space where the enchiridion took Fin and Jake to see Prismo?

After those two mediocre episodes before, it's nice to see Regular Show back to being amazing.

Talk about amazing direction, the way those eye's move in the dark is brilliant.

The high mortality rate of Regular Show's one off characters has to be one of its defining features. It reminds me of a simpler time when dynamite was used as a plot beat regularly.

"it seems deeply unlikely that even Muscle Man would stash enough beef
jerky in his various wrecked cars to sustain multiple burly Carlocks for
over three decades"

This isn't a celebration of being overweight/obese, this is a list showing examples of reality through media. It's Eddie Murphies Nutty Professor vs. Gomer Poyl from Full Metal Jacket. Which is more accurate and realistic. Usually we praise those two things, even if it's about fat people.

replace overweight with, any gender, any race, physical or mental disability, or sexual orientation and you have your answer.
