Not only was that sequence terrible but it absolutely made no sense.  Why did it matter if they shot themselves with the paintballs?  Couldn't the evils just reenter the timeline like they did originally? The writers try to explain why they needed to shoot themselves with one line of dialogue and it just doesn't cut…
