This has already been done. 24 years ago, an actual tv sitcom with this same theme aired on British national television.
The title track is really worth a listen as well. It was the most progressive piece Queen had done in years.

I could never get past the pilot episode wherein a villain got hit in the face with a frying pan and the sound editor dubbed a Flintstones' style "boing" over it.
