I really enjoy both, but I think Social Network is the superior movie.  Moneyball, at least to me, just seemed to compound its thesis too often.  The scene where the post-rock song kicks in and Jonah Hill does the voiceover explaining the merits of Chad Bradford and why he's undervalued, that is pretty much perfect

P.S. I changed my mind.  Kiss my ass.

@Bo_Crowder:disqus That is a great analysis, he's not cut out to anchor movies, particularly rom-coms, even though hollywood asks him too over and over.  And so he ends up in a bunch of schlock, but actually has a boatload of charisma that seems to never be employed in the service of a good movie.

@avclub-08ba7ce35158279b64af606fcbd6a2ce:disqus I haven't finished my copy of Against The Day, either!  I'm at around page 600, but it's been a year since I've picked it up, and I'm waffling between just finishing it and being ridiculously confused, or starting over from the beginning and being only mildly confused.

I understand what you're saying, but it just sounds mean to have the first thing you say about a deceased musician is that he was not especially adventurous or creative.  It might be true and all, and a somewhat necessary caveat, but leading with that seems kind of crass.  I don't know, I'm probably just being overly

Is he? Damn.  I guess he's been grizzled for like 4 decades straight, though, that his age didn't stand out to me as much as Spacek's in that one.

She's really good in Affliction.  I always thought she was a little too old for Nolte's character, but that aside she more than holds her own in between the vitriol being spewed amongst Coburn and Nolte.

Paul Simon, I do believe.
