Maybe the whole point of the show is that Jesse is (forgive me) "breaking" from his "bad" behavior? While Walt "breaks" and becomes…"bad"? Which means by the end of the series it would be Bad Walt vs. Good Jesse. I just feel bad for poor tormented Jesse, while I too feel like Walt has become far too unlikeable.
I think Hank showing up on Lost was a nice shot. Good to see good actors getting more work.
Clearly everyone thinks Jesse did it; a random dude on a motorcycle knows him by name…clearly it won't be long before the authorities get wind of his new home.
I've never thought much of Walt Jr. as a character (though the kid that plays him is excellent), but tonight's "crunch" line was terrific. It said volumes about Skyler, I think.
Clifton Collins Jr, please.
Hey, if Alan Moore wrote it then…oh…nevermind.
I think Totoro is his best film, by far, because of its simplicity. While I liked Spirited Away very much, and while it was definitely better than 99% of films that were released that year, it is also a much busier film. Perhaps unnecessarily so. Still, I await the next Miyazaki film with the same delight I have…
Wow, up to now I've taken Hurley in small doses with no problem. I was incredibly annoyed with the character in this epsiode, however. And I liked the episode overall. But less Hurley will now be required. Jesus, shut the fuck up already.
And yet I think the television series and the films must exist separately from each other. The John Connor of T3 (older than his series counterpart) did not seem to be imbued with any of the knowledge of the this JC. The John Connor of Salvation seems to be saying things (in the trailers) that imply his past is far…
Yes, what was the deal with this? Did you have only 3 minutes to talk? That said, yum. And fun! Yum and fun.
Paul Walker Was Excellent
In Running Scared. Or, should I say, Running Scared was far more fun than any Fast and/or Furious film.
Tokyo Drift got to the point where it just felt like a buzzing in the back of my skull. White noise. A good barbituate. But, like, in a mediocre film.
Fraction of a meter!
Where the hell
is Science Officer Farraday?
Vanya On 42nd Street
Is a beautiful piece of ensemble acting, and will tear your fucking heart out.
Fair question, AVC staff: how many shitty episodes of a program do you review before cutting it loose?
This was the first episode where I did not care for Skyler. Her behavior struck me as unbelievable, considering what she knows: her husband is dying, he experienced some form of delirium and walked in the desert for a few days, and he is acting strangely. That third one really should be outweighed by the first two. …
What A Time That Was
This is almost as sad as when Life ended its centuries-long run.
Ben Issues
I'm not nearly as interested in how Lil Ben survives to become Big Ben, as I am in how Big Ben got the piss knocked out of him before the second flight.
