Word.

Ron Asheton is my favorite of the two, perhaps because I find him a little more original a guitarist. I love James Williamson, but he's much more clearly rooted in a hard blues rock tradition than Asheton at his best ("Loose's" minimal freak out noise, "TV Eye's" caveman pummeling, etc.)

Licking sugar cubes is an essential part of that diet, don't forget.

There's a hole in my [redacted] where all the money goes

Hence the problem with the repetition, right?

At least they're not going for "Indie Cindy".

I fail to see what's getting this album so much praise. It's a very late attempt by contemporary UK R&B to enter the eccentric post-digital soul game. I like Kelela's last year mixtape much better than this. I mean, Arca's been doing this kind of music for almost 3 years now. The same goes for Jessy Lanza and Glasser.

They're justified and they're ancient

They're clearly in both of them, man.

Ever seen them live? The last time I saw them, in 2011, they were loud and abrasive as fuck. You couldn't make up any of the songs from the thick wall of distortion, there was an endless echo on Alan's voice —it didn't help that he mumbled everything so badly that, next to him, latter-day Bob Dylan would sound clear

Dunno about the vaporwave thing, but she certainly had some Death Grips techparanoia vibes going on in there. Especially in the notorious Vicki Leekx follow-up mixtape.

I wouldn't be surprised if some bookers, back in the 70s when they (Petty's Heartbreakers that is) were touring with The Ramones and the Talking Heads, got them mixed up. Perhaps that's how they ended-up touring with punk bands in the first place.

Learning to fly

Who needs elite when you can be aristocratic? I only listen to 17th century music that has never been recorded, thus can only be played live, performed off-the-partiture by a chamber orchestra. How do you top that?

Oh, those sneaky, spinning traps from hell!

I've always wanted to finish an argument saying "[Dave], this conversation can serve no purpose anymore, goodbye."

And then he made a video with Chicano gangsters and a Gene Simmons impersonator to stress his point.
