Yeah I couldn't get past that either. I know they were trying to make the protaganists bad-ass, anti-heroes of the John Carpenter mould, but introducing them as terrorising an unarmed woman at knifepoint made them irredeemable scumbags.

Evidently a dude with a stick of celery in his ass crack failing to make me laugh is a flaw within me. Okay.
I just found Forte tried way too hard and as a result the humour seemed quite laboured. Glad you guys like it though. Won't hold it against you…
Btw Rabin's original review was hardly euphoric…

I'm kinda shocked to see a fairly positive consensus on MacGruber here. I thought it was one of the most woefully unfunny comedies I've seen in years, and I've seen twenty minutes of Old Dogs…

And Randall "Tex" Cobb! You forgot the Cobb!

Bitch all you want about this movie, no movie that has Chris Sarandon, Tom Noonan, Ernie Hudson AND Randall "Tex" Cobb can be all that bad…

Carradine was fine, but I still think Warren Beatty would have been awesome as Bill…

"Un film de Angelina Jolie". It's a cheap gag, but I like it…

Agreed. With the exception of Drive nothing really stands out as must see. Hell I can't even think of anything that stands out over the Christmas season. Might be time to stop watching movies and do something productive with my life…

Yahoo Serious hasn't appeared in so much as a Carpet Call commercial in Australia for at least ten years. Just be thankful some of our other 'comedians', such as Nick Giannopoulos, Dave Hughes or Hamish & Andy haven't made it beyond our borders…

That was the first time I remember seeing Dennis Miller (actually maybe I remember him hosting an MTV Movie Awards previous to that, whatever) and I have to admit I thought his dry/smart ass schtick was pretty funny.

Maybe my perception of shitty films differs from yours, but Bordello of Blood is by no means as shitty as Joe's Apartment…

You know, I remember the shitty reviews that Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore got when they came out, so I always take bad reviews for these kind of juvenile films with a grain of salt. Having said that, the trailer for Bucky Larson is fucking terrible…

Lost and Found. I hate myself for knowing this…

Clearly you never saw Grown Ups…

You know sometimes I think Rabin's got the best job in the world, but having now read he watched Bucky Larson twice in as many weeks, my shitty day job doesn't seem so bad…

Look it's no Breaking Bad (what is?) but I'll state for the record I love Boardwalk Empire. Yes it's pretty obvious with visual metaphors, etc, but I guess I'm a sucker for shows about the pursuit of power (plus it's fucking beautiful to look at). It's got some great actors in it, great writing… maybe it's not quite

Watched this last night and agree with most of the comments here, it's Smith's best film in a long time, but there are some very clunky moments peppered throughout some genuinely great ones.
I'm amazed though no one picked up on all the Breaking Bad actors in the cast (I counted three), not to mention the guy who

Again I have nothing against Snyder but Johnny Quick is right, this film is incredibly stupid. Maybe I'm remembering this wrong, but don't they hide their incriminating items, all of which if found would result in them all being killed, in the kitchen drawer of a busy kitchen or some shit?

The very fact Snyder had to come out after the release of the film to explain it's meanings doesn't speak very well of his own efforts.

Agree whole heartedly. I don't have half the hate for Snyder many do on film sites, but he does tend to choose the most obvious musical cue for any given scene.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a scene in Man of Steel of Superman washing his cape to 'I Feel Good'…
