Ahh, Neil LaBute???
Ahh, Neil LaBute???
Yes. But…
… will Scrooge "ass" me a few questions???
Am I getting my trashy horror confused? Wasn't Leanna Quigley the frequently naked punk girl in Night of the Living Dead???
I can't bring myself to hate Steve Martin. The hilarity he brought to The Jerk, All of Me, Man with Two Brains, Three Amigos, Planes Trains and Automobiles, and Bowfinger perfumes the stench of any crap he's made in the past eight or nine years…
I remember reading in a Premiere Summer Movie Guide way back when that it was Dekker's idea to "kiddify" Robocop to appeal to its younger fans, which is basically the same as making a sequel to Eyes Wide Shut and setting it against the backdrop of spring break…
Demons wasn't too bad, but they killed the lack pimp off way too early…
Re-Animator is class all the way. Love, LOVE that movie. Never saw the Bride of Re-Animator, mbs, but I'll throw my love behind their stablemates From Beyond and Society…
If Ben stiller did it he'd spend the entire evening shilling Fockers 3. I'd imagine he'd arrange for De Niro to present the Best Actress award wearing fake breasts…
Missing ten minutes??? Wow. How does that happen? Seriously, how does a film make it to DVD release without someone, you know, checking that the film is in its entirety????
That Marlon Wayans sure does make for a convincing super soldier…
I really dug Watchmen, but how any fucking versions are really necessary? Isn't the Directors Cut supposed to be the "definitive" version??
What did Zorro ever do to you to deserve such disrespect? Give you cancer aids?
Shitters were full!
Honey, have you checked our shitters?
I disagree. The first one has held up just fine. The second one less so, but gets a pass for Christopher Walken, and for the kung fu scene…
"Bares her soul and as well as her body…"
Could you not have re-worded that as "goes nuts and gets nekkid"????
There are isolated moments in the film that are decent (I like Charles Dance declaring he just shot someone to an uncaring neighborhood) but the whole film is as uneven as hell. It's poo.
Seeing footage of this film appear in Last Action Hero…
…still has me scratching my head. I will make an effort to see this though (Seventh Seal, that is, not Last Action Hero. That was poo).
No way! Woody was still making gems well into the nineties. Bullets Over Broadway, Mighty Aphrodite, Deconstructing Harry, Manhattan Murder Mystery, Sweet and Lowdown… I guess the guy's so ubiquitous he can't keep his standard so high all the time but he still has it in him to bring his A-game…
Spielberg wants nothing to do with this film because he was outclassed by every other director involved. I have much respect for the guy, but when he fumbles the ball he fumbles it badly. His segment in the Twilight Zone movie, I think, represents his weakest work by a mile…
Was that the one with naked Bridget Fonda???
