teodoust I think you're forgetting about Grindhouse, which was a financial disaster no matter which way you look at it…

Yes, and so was Hans Landa's pipe…

Never underestimate the power of Dennis Quaid….

Once Upon a Time in Mexico is pretty underrated, I think. It's basically a 90 minute A-Team episode, but damn if it ain't a laugh…

Vol 2, I think…

Hey! The top two films at the box office are inventive, engaging, imaginative films!!!
What's going on here???

Is the Amazon link really necessary???
Seeing as though you've stoked so much interest in the game now…

Ha! For some reason I read this and thought of Toy Soldiers, too. Sean Astin AND Wil Wheaton!! That's star power you just don't see in Hollywood films these days…

Michael Keaton…
Do the kids know he was once Batman???

Well there are some wildly divergent opinions appearing about it. I read somewhere that it's closest in tone with Jackie Brown, and if that's true then my expectations are now raised even higher…
Lovecraft did you see it at MIFF?

"YOU HELLO KITTY BUYING BITCH…"

Hell yeah Phantom Menace was a victim of the expectations of Star Wars fans. It's a disappointing movie, no doubt, but not the rancid turd most people paint it to be.
Crystal Skull, on the other hand…

If you've ever seen one of his hand written notes (check out the Jane Hamsher book for examples) the dude can't spell and his handwriting could be mistaken for that of a six year old…

QT famously slammed NBK without ever even seeing it (at least when it came out… maybe over the years he's given it a go), which was a shame because there is some honest to god razor sharp satire embedded in that film that has nothing to do with the original screenplay. As much as I love QT's films, I think on that

James Spader has picked up more than acting techniques from Shatner…
His middle aged flab regularly make me forget he was once the dude from Sex, Lies and Videotape and Less than Zero.

Shoot 'Em Up was pretty damned awesome…
But can this guy direct a movie that has, you know, a plot? Shoot 'Em Up was a movie that made its silliness its most endearing quality…

Wasn't Papa Lynch a producer on this???

Sherilyn Fenn was decent in that film Diary of a Hitman opposite Forest Whitaker. Not the best movie but Fenn was pretty solid in it.

Universal need a new marketing team…
It's easy to be an armchair critic but c'mon… Funny People, Land of the Lost and Public Enemies has terrible, confusing ad campaigns. Land of the Lost should never have been marketed as a kids film, it should have been marketed as another straight up Will Ferrell comedy (which it

Man there's some serious hatin' on the guy round here. He's not exactly the savior of horror or anything, but Cabin Fever and the first Hostel were pretty decent efforts, and I thought there were moments of great black comedy in Hostel II (particularly the "auction" scene). I certainly wouldn't consider him a lesser
