AH! They filmed that scene in the picture at the bar across the street from my comic book shop in New Orleans. Cocktail connoisseurs might know the place as Cure New Orleans.

It sounds like they dubbed Adam saying, "Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing" at 8:36 of LCK? It's spoken just a tad faster than everything else.

I could listen to Greg Proops say Mark Boofalo forever.

Not really sure what Murthi is saying about the rapid fire jokes told by talented actors not being the main appeal of Happy Endings. I'm pretty sure that's what everyone who likes the show has consistently praised it for.

Penny really can't get enough of couples costumes.

Where does one start with Bergman then? I've got a 2-week trial of Hulu Plus going and was just about to begin with Persona.

I think it's a Mariah Carey reference.

The problem is that DC's books, by and large, only come in one flavor. If you like Batman '66, there's not much else for you from DC, aside from maybe Action Comics, which is fun, rompy, and not overly-serious. Say what you will about how many Marvel books there are, but if you don't dig Hickman's Avengers, you could

Looking back on 2014 in Big Issues, there's been an article on Adventures of Superman, Swamp Thing, and Action Comics - plus The Wake if you include Vertigo.

Unfortunately, probably not. Those two pages that Oliver mentioned basically work because it recalls 30 years of change and growth.

Here!

As much as I think that Junot Diaz is prone to exaggeration, he is spot on when he says, "American fiction is [still] catching up to Love and Rockets." When I get asked about my favorite comics, I generally think its unfair to put L&R at the top, because how could it not be? There is simply no series more rewarding

I'm thinking the AIM Adaptoids somehow become or get involved with the Black Priests/Mapmakers storyline that is going on in New Avengers.

My first thought when Skye got shot was X-23. She could pass for Laura. I don't know if they have the rights to her since Marvel doesn't have the rights for Wolverine, but it'd be a neat way to get a "big Marvel character" without actually having a big Marvel character.

I loved SexCrims#3. Fraction and Zdarsky are just such perfect collaborators. It's worth noting that Fraction has done metacommentary before in Casanova, but it feels unique here.

It was awhile ago and I don't remember any of them being necessarily bad. I remember avoiding the popcorn on Louis' dish for sure though. Also, after having met him a couple times and hearing about him from a friend who hosts at his restaurant, Justin really is an asshole.

This was the other episode I was on. Just to put my two cents in: I thought Brian's dish was the best, but Carlos was right up in there too. It's kind of interesting that they showed none of Sara, because she was having a breakdown during service. I remember her leaving the "kitchen" right after serving the judges

Earlier today I told a friend that all I wanted to hear was Coach say, "Put on some D'Angelo and whip out my P'Angelo." And then he said, "I just want to put on some Drake and get up on you girl." That'll do for now, New Girl.

You must not have seen both episodes, because the Tom's sideplot in Recall is entirely about his Rent-A-Swag.

A work at a comic shop and one of my regular customers works with the production company who filmed Top Chef here and added me to their potential diners list. This was mid-June in New Orleans. A week before the taping, they emailed me asking to rsvp to a reality tv cooking show dining thing. They didn't say where it
