Dude, I've read two of these books so far. I promise you, actions have serious consequences eventually in this series. Claire may escape her scrapes (she's the heroine after all), but she certainly doesn't escape them all unscathed.

Well, in the book the brother is similarly built to Jack Randall. And I shant spoil anything about Jack, Frank, or the brother, so there.

Well, if it's any consolation, the characters all look like they do in the series in my head now - probably because I read the book for the first time right before the series started.

HEY FELLOW BOOK READERS *SPOILERS*

AND HOW, man.

I just read the book last month in anticipation of the show, and I'm pretty sure the end of the "Rent" journey - which had Claire trying to get to the stones - was about halfway.

This episode, man. It turned Frank from the afterthought he was in the books - left, and then

*whistles* That was some amazingly sexy sex right there. I haven't been this aroused by a night of television in -

I find it creepy. What, you married and are now some weird single unit? WE ARE THE SEANCLAIRE. LOOK AT OUR CAT VIDS, LOL.

I share a similar opinion. Wrong Way, What I've Got, and Santeria are on my regular MP3 rotation because one of my favorite musical tropes is songs where the music hides the terrible fucking happenings within the lyrics and the songwriter is satirizing a part of a culture that he hates. I saw this movie Christmas day at a packed theater. One of the best movie going experiences in my life. Everyone was just so in to the humor. The end where they blow up the baddie on stage got a cheer from both the movie audience and the real audience. It was awesome.

I also need to know the hole now. What's the plot hole, Myron?? WHAT IS IT?

Wait, what do you mean controls everything she watches?? Like, does she have no computer? No NETFLIX??

That's exactly what I did with "Tacky" as I missed "Happy" when it was everywhere, I guess.

Why are you so angry, sweetie?

Why are you so angry, sweetie?

I hate that he's against the term, now. It's like Rowling coming out pro Harry/Hermione. Or Bradbury saying that Fahrenheight 451 was about TV, not censorship. You can't create something that works perfectly in its moment and then come out against it without looking like you've gone insane. He should've kept his

Darlin', you're laying on the shtick a little thick, don't you think? The ee cummings grammar, attacking a favored poster, the pseudo-intellectual arguments. Are you going to start trolling Cookie next?

I feel that both authors are clearly using the same literary device. They are both deconstructing fantasy tropes - the former by making them play out in a more "realistic" setting and the latter by using the tropes to conceal character motives. So I think @Enkidum:disqus is on the right track when he says that GRRM

I have a weird, leather upholstered, high-back chair that I inherited from my grandmother. I really don't care what it's worth because it's gonna stay with me til I'm dead, but I'd love to know where the hell she got it and how to reupholster leather.
