Liked for Young Blood. Did you download any of the other AS Summer Singles?

I'd take DDFH over any track on the remainder of RTJ, personally. That song… goddamn.

Talking Heads- This Must Be The Place

Reflektor, without question. As I've recounted elsewhere on this site, I was a very, very casual fan of AF prior to that single. Before it was released, I was hyped purely on the rumors that it was a collab between them, James Murphy and Bowie. The first time I heard it, in conjunction with the non-interactive music

He'll have the chance when it's re-released commercially in a few months (weeks? Hell if I know).

Having a Spotify subscription and being a broke college student, the only albums I bought this year were the Hotline Miami soundtrack, the Reflektor vinyl, and The Cars' first two albums on vinyl. But goddamn if they weren't worth every penny.

Am I the only one who listened to Acid Rap and wasn't wowed by it? There were certainly a few songs I enjoyed (Acid Rain, Chain Smoker), but both production-wise and verse-wise, I honestly didn't see anything really remarkable. Maybe I'm just not crazy about his voice- who knows.

I have yet to listen to a full Autre Ne Veut album, but his Adult Swim Single from this summer is phenomenal:

Yeah, this. MBDTF/Graduation are still my favorites, but Kanye, like all my favorite artists (Bowie, Gorillaz, OutKast, Pink Floyd, etc.) does what every great artist ought to do, and evolves from album to album. Now, whether that means it's a progression or a regression is up for debate, but the man never rests on

Make way for the homo superior!

In all fairness though, that's really not that hard- I gave it six volumes before I realized I either just wasn't "getting it," or that the books were just tremendously overrated. As a voracious comics reader, I'm leaning towards the latter.

Thank god I wore underwear today…

You see Ronnie, his DICK is the gun!

I know I'm among the younger commentariat here, but as with Bowie's cameo in Zoolander, it would be a few years before I understood why my Dad was practically losing his shit at Black's assignment of the vocal solo on "The Great Gig In the Sky"- coming back to that movie every few years, I always pick up a new piece

The 2 Chainz one is now adorning one of my social media profiles. So yes, as a fan of hip-hop, I genuinely enjoyed those that aren't 'As an educated white person on tumblr, let me show you how I feel about perceived injustice in pop culture' perspective.

Amy Schumer came to my college to do a set with Hannibal Buress (who killed it, as always), and I bailed on her live set early to catch a party. I don't remember the exact phrasing, although I'd have to imagine it was quite vulgar, but she called me out quite specifically, and I just had to throw up my hands and laugh

AWWW, TALKIN' BOUT MY PENIS!

Liked for "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere"- it's the only Neil Young track I can consistently get away with playing on my college radio station, seeing as it's actually under ten minutes and all.

On one hand, I'm thrilled that NuDisqus has allowed me to respond to the TI two hours after the fact without being buried under comments… and then makes me sad that my options to respond with "Liked For *Insert Artist/Song Here*" are beyond limited.
