Unlike a lot of people here, I'm kind of iffy on the ending. Copying directly from what I said in this week's Comics Panel, I can't help but feel like the New 52 robbed Morrison of any enthusiasm he had over this story. The finale was far from the conclusion a massive, sprawling run like this deserved, and ended up

Don't use not catching Mangum as an excuse not to go- at least from the show I attended, it was a relatively low key affair. The mere presence of a horn section is bound to elevate the proceedings to something nigh transcendental.

NMH and Grant Morrison in the span of four months? You son of a bitch.

Seconded on Hotline Miami 2, although I'm equally excited for the soundtrack, what with the first game's, along with Jasper Byrne's EP, being the only albums I've formally bought all year.

With bangers like this, I can't imagine why the general public wouldn't welcome him with open arms.

ME TOO!

I'll try to keep my thoughts brief, in the event that it does end up being this week's "Big Issue," but I can't help but feel like the New 52 robbed Morrison of any enthusiasm he had over this story. The finale was far from the conclusion a massive, sprawling run like this deserved, and ended up being Morrison

I'm a couple of hours late, but ah, what the hell:

What do you expect from a guy like that, he doesn't dip in the Honey River! Not that I do much of that myself these days…

Jeff Mangum brandishing an acoustic guitar may have come through, but the horn section that effectively makes "In the Aeroplane…" most certainly did not, so I share @avclub-8767bccb1ff4231a9962e3914f4f1f8f:disqus 's pain.

The so-so and surely to be debated end to a seven year run? Oh, most definitely.

Good thing I caught Mangum in January, because there is not a single FL date, and my degree of being a broke college student only rose recently. Le sigh.

@avclub-97d6c074b974838257db17a02f8784c4:disqus, although I am not going to a commuter school, I am going to a smaller, unknown-to-everyone outside of the state school, and I feel ya. I mean, I'm currently working my ass off to attempt to transfer to University of Florida, but I can't help but feel like I'm only doing

I'm still at a loss how a "Terriers" movie has yet to be Kickstartered (is there a word for the act of making a Kickstarter?)- Shawn Ryan discussed it long before the Veronica Mars movie was even a tangible thing, and I'd think with the success of that, they'd want to hop on the train before the inevitable Kickstarter

Come on, man. After "Paul", I don't know if I can take two consecutive Simon Pegg & Nick Frost starred disappointments.

I read The Dark Knight Returns my freshman year of high school after The Dark Knight re-energized my love for comics. I went in knowing nothing but it's reputation as the juvenile, gritty for the sake of being gritty mass of darkness that ruined Batman 4EVR that the internet had accused it of being.

Aww, Wonder Woman 2…

I copped this weeks ago, but I've been too busy finally getting around to working through the Das Racist discography and Cannibal Ox's Cold Vein to give this particular El-P collab the proper listen it deserves. I burnt a CD of it for the car yesterday, so hopefully this week will be the week.
