I'm usually not one to double post, but after watching this episode I went to the Cowboy Bebop wiki for this episode, and apparently the music for Pierrot's origin was inspired by "On the Run" from Dark Side of the Moon. Kind of like a "aha!" moment for me, and one I'm kind of ashamed I didn't pick up on earlier.

I'm glad to see that apparently everyone else loves this episode as much as I do. Other than "Pierrot Le Fou", I've always found Bebop to be a bit overrated (not to say it's a bad show- far from it). This is honestly one of my favorite episodes of anything ever, and by far one of the scariest and most unnerving things

I think it stems more from the fact that I don't think the writers were aspiring as high as you make them out to be. While there is absolutely some clever commentary on gender politics in this episode, I don't think it's setting out to make as grandiose and definitive statement as you would have it. IMHO, of course.

YOU KNOW NOT THE ELABORATE CRITERIA BY WHICH YOU WILL BE JUDGED! IGNORE ME!

I FOOKIN' LUV YA

I mean, I loved this as much as the next guy, but I don't see this as the gender-role confronting masterpiece that Rowan seems to think it is. Not that I'm dismissing his ideas, and by association his review, but whatever depth is beyond the typical Misfits-style satire and exploration, I'm honestly not seeing.

I loved it. In all honesty, I wish I had something more constructive or critical to say, but that really was a flawless hour of television. Gonna go grab more tissues…

Normally I'd come here to make a witty retort or offer my take on the pop culture being discussed at hand, but I do have to say this was easily one of the most heartfelt reads I've ever had on the AV Club. Good shit all around.

Given that American Psycho predated the Oprah appearance by a solid five years… nope.

I personally preferred this season's Leon with Glasses episode, but maybe that's just me.

This just might work.

Although I was far more generous with my grade, this echoed my sentiments exactly. Everything was going great, and I was perfectly content with this as a season (series?) finale, until the whole incest thing wasn't really… resolved. I sincerely hope it was due to a lack of time, rather than an underhanded approval.

MASTA CYLINDA!

On another note, I was sincerely hoping the presence of Neal McDonagh as a villain on yet another top-notch FX drama would pave the way for a Justified x Terriers crossover…

Justified is what got me watching cable television outside of Adult Swim and the occasional HBO venture in the first place, and Archer got me into Frisky Dingo.

Given that this review went up about five hours after it aired, and my threshold for remembering funny quotes had been well passed by then, I have to say by far the most enjoyable part of the night was seeing Gorillaz' "Stop the Dams" used in a Google+ commercial. I don't think I've smiled that wide from a commercial

I think coverage starts when they start putting the Series 3 episodes on Hulu. At least, I hope so…

Jane Epenson also wrote the majority of Torchwood: Miracle Day, and we all know how that one turned out. So, not too much to be excited about on that front.

RACE RIOT!

If Season 11 was the one with "Lice-capades" then yes, absolutely.
