"Intro to Puppetry" was my favorite as well.  At first I thought that Hader was just stealing Will Forte's Hamilton character, but where Hamilton is just a creepy racist, Hader took this one to all sorts of nutty places.

I swear, I'd better not read about another Kenan sketch "blowing its load spectacularly."  That's just not an image I need to live with.

"Matryoshka" seems to be a companion piece to the X-File "Travelers."  Both have Cold War settings, the same actor plays Hoover in both.  In some ways I think it might have been better if both were part of another series, set in post WW2 times, so that you wouldn't be losing focus from your main characters.

What I hadn't realized until now was that Pam was played by Carol Burnett's daughter, who would only live a couple more years in real life.  Unintentionally that adds to the poignancy too.

I was pretty sure that at least one Star Trek show had done one.  Yup.  TNG, "Cause and Effect."  This episode probably did increase the popularity of the trope.

Weird that she was cast a couple of years after rumors that Casey Wilson was fired for not losing weight.  Anyway, best of luck to her.

Bring your fantasy earplugs, just in case she does the Kim Kardashian voice too.

The scene where Lucy transforms herself into Frank makes good use of Lance Henriksen's well-used bad guy muscles.

You're right.  In fact her next (brief) appearance is near this one on the enjoyable insanity scale.

One of the guest actors was Andrew "Scorpio/Garak/Dad from Hellraiser" Robinson, who was appropriately hammy.  Too bad he wasn't in a better written episode.
