One of the guest actors was Andrew "Scorpio/Garak/Dad from Hellraiser" Robinson, who was appropriately hammy.  Too bad he wasn't in a better written episode.

He was cast against type in Daredevil because cold, sophisticated villains weren't his specialty.  He wound up doing a bang-up job, though.

She's had bafflingly bad luck with shows in general.  Everything she's signed on for has either been cancelled soon after (Slap Maxwell Story) or written her off (China Beach.)  With her stunning looks and actually being able to act, it's hard to figure why she hasn't gotten to do more.  As it stands, Catherine Black

The character of Spender himself never really amounted to much, so you can be forgiven for shrugging off his sudden, predictable death.  What brings the scene up a level for me is the CSM coldly dismissing his own flesh-and-blood and holding up Mulder as his true, worthy son.  Talk about your unwanted compliments.

"Don't bite it.  Don't get Violent with it.  Just suck it, nice and slow."

Does anyone know why Rebecca was rushed offstage in this episode?  Was it to give Dan more angst.  Did Teri Polo just want to do less TV?

Plus, Sydney knows like twenty ways to kill a man barehanded, which I'm sure helps.
