Yeah that was a weird year for me too. I was finally letting go of all that so-cal punk stuff. I stumbled into "emo," (before stumbling back out again) but then finally got into Devo and Elvis Costello.

Besides sharing ever member except for the singer, these two bands don't have that much in common. Joy Division is awesome, but Blue Monday pumps me up like nothing else.
