My understanding is it's a movie. Haven't seen "TV series" discussed anywhere. Though I suppose if it caught on, it could find longevity in a "Doctor Who" sort of way…

Though I work in musical theatre, I understand the sentiment of people that don't like it (even if I don't always agree with the why), and will even agree with them on certain shows. But favoring film as an art and disregarding theatre in general as valid, relevant, or otherwise is about the same as rap fans hating
