When I first saw Something About Mary years and years ago I had no idea who Jonathan Richman was.  I didn't get into his music until long afterwards and totally did not make the connection that it was him in the film.

Agreed on all counts and I think your prediction about her getting knocked off at the end of the prison v. Woodbury storyline is right on.  And it's sad because I think they would play it for sympathy and it would fall flat because she's a frustrating nothing of a character.

You could also (kind of) include Julian's "I'll Try Anything Once" which is basically "You Only Live Once" played on keys and with no other Strokes involved.

It's Never Been Like That preceded Wolfgang Amadeus and it is GREAT.  Different sound but the songs are great.

At this point I am watching the show out of a moral obligation to the comic books and so I can complain about how bad it is.  Such great source material wasted on such a meandering, limp show.
