Possibly/probably my fav' episode of the series. Aside from Phil Hartman, Waters is my fav' guest star. It mixed funny with such a hard to do and important subject very well.
Bravo to all involved.

Not only has this been a surprisingly good read (I should have known tho) but it has been a really accessible one too. I only started w/ issue 11 and I very easily understood what had happened, and what the setup was.
So many books by more contemporary writers completely fail at that.

Such a great one-two punch to end the series. In the commentary, one of the writers suggests that bringing Darkseid back was Talia's last F-U revenge on Luthor.
Which is how I like to take it.

I saw these bands on this same tour, in Buffalo, and loved 'em both.
Archers of Loaf's singer had a sore throat, so they played most of their set instrumental. It wasn't engaging in the same way as Skeleton Key, but IMO Archers killed it and I'm still a fan of ALL THE NATIONS AIRPORTS which is one of my all time…

I didn't hate that, as a nostalgia piece, it has some nice moments.

there was a teamup w/ the Hulk in a tv movie (Bixby/Ferrigno) and this was basically the outfit he wore. I imagine it'll upgrade as the series goes on. I hope it isn't overdone like the movie was.

Whenever people picture/complain about annoying vegetarians, this is the stereotype more moderate types like myself are compelled to backtrack from and sigh about. "I'm a vegetarian—no not that kind."

GotG proved he could carry a big project, in that his "likability factor" would help spread good word of mouth, which is what gave the movie legs. Fun movies are fun because the audience wants to spend time w/ the main guy having the fun, not because fun things happen.

I love these episodes from the last season. All the big drama is wrapped up (pretty much) and they can have a little fun with some 'burn off' episodes.
I could want more more more of the bigger plots and stories, but eh, these are just nice.

I do remember her complaining about it before, at least in one of her first couple appearances. And the problem w/ being stuck around her cousin all the time has at least been alluded too as an undercurrent/tension in past episodes.

I liked that they make Bouncing Boy seem like a decent hero, whose power would actually be good in battle. So hard to sell, but they make it work.

Yes, this has been in works for well over a year, and it was definitely workshops with a big team. Nu52 had really less than 7 months in the 'planning' and maybe 6-10 key people involved at best.

If this were a case of just 'shaking' the other universe characters onto the 616, I wouldn't have any problem with it. I still think that's basically what it will be, but if they are doing a DC style Flashpoint-style smoosh together, I think that's a bad idea and will create the maximum amount of ill will with fans.
