The Sarah McLachlan bit was at least sort of relevant because of those terrible ASPCA commercials. I had to laugh when Seth said he broke his hand trying to get to the remote to change the channel, because really. They are terrible. I usually mute them, myself.

The roommate sketch kind of cracked me up. Also, I laughed because we have a friend named (John) Bennett and that's how we usually say his name.

Whoa, this recap was clearly written by Claire Zulkey and not Nabin, as I carelessly assumed. My apologies.

Agreed. I thought the Firelight short was really funny, if a bit long. The way she kept pushing her hair behind her ear and biting her lips was A+++ KStew.

I finally bought The Fifth Element on DVD. That is the first drop-everything movie that comes to mind. I've watched it two or three times in a weekend in my younger days. Having not paid much attention to the credits before, I was quite surprised to find that the costumes are by Gaultier. I commented on how awesome

It's exhausting.

Yeaaaaah
This is the first episode I've watched in a while. Somehow I'm always napping or something at 7:00. But it was damn funny, and I could not have been more excited that I managed to catch an episode featuring Patton Oswalt. It made me want to be awake in the evening every week.

Matt Smith! At first I wanted to like him because of all the backlash, but recently I had a fit related to how utterly boring he is, chosen to continue the appeal to girls who find David Tennant hot (and I say that as someone who thinks he's pretty fit). Possibly it is because I looked at the betting pool they ran

It's true. I love gin, and I don't even like martinis. But she's probably been drinking casually since middle school because she was so fabulously wealthy and unsupervised.

If you're not familiar with Burke and Hare, get up to speed with this amazing Horrible History video, featuring Simon Farnaby (who I love)

I really liked Life! I always forget to watch TV though. I'm part of the problem. I don't remember to turn on the TV because I don't know when anything is on (except for Gossip Girl). So I watch it on the internet motnhs later. It wasn't really very similar to House though.

I could never understand it. I was always surprised to hear that it was still on, year after year, for 8 seasons. EIGHT.

Well
I kind of hope Tennant's pilot takes off. It's probably a good idea for him to do something as far removed from DW as possible, so people don't forget that he's not actually the Doctor.

I think I always thought the BB books were a little funny and old-fashioned. But I hope I am not alone in saying that I could get behind an Amelia Bedelia movie. That's assuming there's not already a precious cartoon version in a similar vein to Babar that I could watch instead. To imdb!

I think Leighton Meester's new single has the possibility to be a huge club hit in Europe. That is about all I can think that it is meant to do. Also, I could not get through the Halloween Weezer video, either. I like the song well enough (actually I like it a lot, especially considering I've disliked basically every

Chuck has actually been keeping it really real, at least intermittently, since the second season, at least. This is probably because they can't have Connor Paolo in every episode, and he is the actually moral barometer and real talk resource of the show. So somebody else has to be in charge of that kind of thing

The drinking age is 21, but the age for voting, tobacco, porn, and joining the army is 18. And the driving age is 16. And now you are basically caught up.

I agree, this interview was rad. You know, sometimes it can be a bit difficult to distinguish between the actor and the character, especially in something like FotC (see also: the Mighty Boosh, Larry David) which is just slightly off reality. But this has totally rekindled my mad crush for him and his manly sideburns.

Interesting. I'll definitely pick this up next time I have some disposable income.

Oh The Ninth Gate. What I mostly remember about it is that it seems insanely long. I've only managed to sit through it twice. I watched it with a friend and at the end of the movie we sort of thought everything else we did that day had happened the day before. It was totally crazy though. I highly recommend seeing it
