I can't be the only one who saw that Eva Green was missing an arm standing at the top of the stairs at the end of the episode. That looked unfortunate.

I always recommend Cristian Nemescu's California Dreamin' and Radu Muntean's Boogie (which is on youtube) to Romanian New Wave newbies.

I liked Child's Pose well enough, but that shaky handheld camera annoyed me to no end. Calin Netzer went overboard trying to distance himself from the long takes and stillness of the other Romanian directors.

Oh, yes, congrats to Ireland for being awesome and giving the finger to the Catholic Church. It gives me hope that my little fucked-up country will legalize gay marriage someday.

It was an excellent movie, understated and so elegant, but, yeah, that ending was excruciating. I nearly burst into tears.

Maybe he's not American. I didn't know about this either. Every country has its own shit to deal with, it's hard to keep up with others' too.

So is this a single woman who gave birth to 19 children? Because if that's the case, my response is ''How in the name of sweet Jesus is that even biologically possible?''. Just wow.

It seems we're late to the party, but I agree with you completely. I absolutely adored this episode. The scene with the burning made me cry like a baby, and I'm not even ashamed to admit it.

TOS gave this movie 3 and a half stars, so who knows, maybe it is a dark comedy.

I applaud AVC's attempts to bring a woman into the boys club that is the film review section. But give Katie better and more movies to review!

Do not underestimate the tenacity of those little devils when they truly want something.

I'm not a romantic by any means, but this episode of Banana was perfection. So lovely.

I thought this episode of Cucumber would spark more comments on these reviews. This was one of the best and most poignant episodes of television I've ever seen. I think it was so well-done and so relevant in what it said and how it said it that it elevated the whole series. Cucumber may be wobbly, but for this episode

Journey to the Shore sounds fascinating, and the new Joachim Trier is bound to be at least a worthwhile cinematic experience.

Talking about boobs from time to time is not such a big deal, I confess I engage in those discussions for a laugh sometimes, but when something like this happens, all pretensions are off and some really misogynistic things are said with a straight face. Yeah, it can be nasty.

Suck it Marvel, period.

I so love your typo there.
