I am a reasonable fellow! And I didn't mean to come across as dismissive.

I agree with some of your points, but all that you said about Ewa points to the fact that she is this noble creature that the filthy New World tries to corrupt, throwing at her every suffering in the book, but she is so pure nothing can touch her. Her soul was never in danger, because she is above everything she is…
I love that movie! But I don't think it's better than Heavenly Creatures.
My grandfather is 95 and a WWII vet, and still sharp as a razor. The amusing tales about camaraderie between soldiers he used to tell us kids made us think wars were fun, breezy things. When I grew up a bit and started to poke him with questions I understood what the man went through, and that he probably suffered…
I was planning on watching Twin Peaks sometime in the future. But I didn't even know of FWWM's existence, I had to look it up on IMDB, so thanks for the recommendation!
I haven't seen it, and the original Twin Peaks either. I respect David Lynch as an auteur, and I appreciate his movies on an intellectual level, but his films are not emotionally resonant to me.
Come on now, Kate Winslet has Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Revolutionary Road on her CV. Agree about Peter Jackson and Melanie Lynskey though.
Oh, yes, Felix is wonderful. Especially in that scene. And they severely underused him in season 2. More Felix in season 3! And less Paul and even Cal. Urgh.
Yeah, he was hilarious in this movie. Those good looks of his robbed him of a more substantial career, I think. Being cast as the leading man, when he was the funny sidekick.
She is the female love interest in the Superman franchise, so she will not get too much to do, so hopefully her shooting schedule will allow her to do movies worthy of her talents.
The best show on TV that nobody watches is The Americans. Orphan Black is an entertaining show, but Tatiana Maslany is the one that carries the whole thing.
I don't know, maybe I am too harsh, but it bored me, and it seemed so off and didn't flow organically at all, it felt like nobody knew what they were doing there. That scene with the explosion was eye-roll inducing, so cringey. And Chris Hemsworth has no chemistry with women apparently. But yeah, it had some nice…
I absolutely adore Mullholand Drive (the only David Lynch that I love) and Weekend too. They're perfect movies.
That last frame was striking. I haven't seen Magic in the Moonlight yet, but I must soon.
The Immigrant must the best looking movie released last year. The cinematography is so beautiful, every frame looks like a painting. I liked the movie a lot, but I couldn't love it. The title of the movie says that it is about Marion Cotillard's character, but that's not actually true. It's a story of redemption, for…
That lunchbox looks like one of those old medical metal boxes. All that is missing are some disgusting syringes. I don't know about others, but that right there would prevent me from eating anything stored in it.
Raggedy man, goodbye.
I'm actually happy. Now he has the time to do movies more respectful of his acting skills. Not that GotG isn't a fun movie, but he was wasted in it, and in those atrocious Hobbit movies.
Paris Hilton.
I'm ashamed to admit this, but I've never been inside a synagogue. They look pretty from outside though.
