She always feels the hum when her dad walks up, she seeing her own death not Olivia's.  The hum came to her in her bedroom when her dad surprised her, and again when he came close in the lab because he's there when she dies.  Its why she kept drawing the lakeside, where she would die. 

Correct me of I'm wrong, but wasn't this a NCIS episode a while back?  They had an episode where a Mossad agent was illegally working in the US to kill a few enemy agents and they couldn't get him to leave the country.  Maybe I'm watching too much tv. 

The parts I love about this show, not totally evidence in this episode, is how much she can do without a gun and with things rarely devolving into violence.   The CIA in this show is not a group of assassins or an international SWAT team, they are about forming relationships and out smarting people.  Also about using
