Except that in Oh Brother, when the candidate admits he's a member of the KKK, his career is destroyed.

I got through quite a lot of the manga before I gave up. When I was at the library recently I saw colossal edition 3 and opened it, only to realize I had previously read half of it and stopped. I can only remember a few things from all those issues. It's extremely boring and I don't even think it's that well drawn.

Didn't he refuse to do it this year? He had some rant about how Magary is always prodding him "come on ZMF, become rage" and he doesn't care about the Lions any more.

Thanks for teaching me the Spanish phrase for "other half."

He complains about AV Club a fair amount on his Twitter feed. Also, he's sort of depressing to follow when you think about the fact that it's not an act - he really is a self-destructive alcoholic who doesn't care about anything or anyone.

Do you mean Bajillion Dollar Properties? Million Dollar Listing is the real show on Bravo.

I think the problem is that with a united government, the GOP will get a LOT of shit done. It just won't be anything we want.

Yes! Those were great. "Nope, this is the dumbest, clumsiest attempt to mash advertising against a complete misunderstanding of what improv is supposed to be. No ad for you."

Oh shit hot take alert on B99.

His ad reads on Spontaneanation are so amazing. I'm way behind on that show, but there was a period of time in the early run of the show when he was super grouchy doing the ads for some reason and would just shit on the ad copy and complain about how they wouldn't get him the stuff with enough time, so he'd have to

I looked at the games they had listed for GOTY and realized I hadn't played a single one. Perhaps I am no longer a gamer. Goodbye, my friends. Good luck in the wars.

As every year, I find myself irrepressibly bored with the "Die Hard is a Christmas movie" take, but not because it's played out. Rather, because everyone forgets about Lethal Weapon, which is at least as much a Christmas movie as Die Hard, and because Shane Black loves action movies set at Christmas.

Yeah, it's on my shelf but I only got about 50 pages in before I gave up. I should try again, but my stack is already super deep. I think I might have to give up on most television for a while in 2017.

I think Rabin is drawing his own conclusions from the things Miscavige says - it doesn't seem like he's self-aware about why what he did as a father led to his son being a monster.

It's sort of unfair that Ralph Fiennes gets credit for "stealing" the list when Chris Pine (of all people) is also in two of the scenes.

Yeah, when I read the synopsis describing the weapons used as knives, I thought "uh, that was done with machetes."

I think the key is to crush the despondency and channel that rage and fear into action.

A reference is a tool, a means of telling a joke. A reference without a joke is a pretty boring thing.

What does God want with a starship?

Pence, Cha 12? Come on. Dude got a 9 at best.
