What fascinates me about Bar Rescue is that all the rescued bars look so damn tacky. Like, I get that they were all shitholes before, but now they just look like you can find them in the airport.

Ink Master. Fucking hell. I refer to it only as "That Stupid Fucking Tattoo Show" and I have seen just about every episode I can see - they just started showing the most recent season on TV around here and I have started to slightly plan my schedule around watching it. It's awful and the macho reality-show "I'm not

It would be more fulfilling.

I…why?

Every goddamn admiral is evil! It's amazing how Starfleet functions.

Sauerkraut is really good, though.

Those recliner seats are insane. I was back in the US visiting family over the holidays and we went to one of those theaters, and it was damn impressive. The infrastructure might be crumbling but my homeland is still the best at movie theaters.

I still have most of the Lion King soundtrack memorized because my little sister (7 years younger) went through a phase where that was all she would listen to.

My mom was so excited to take me and my brother to our first non-children's movie- Independence Day. Finally, we were old enough to go to something other than irritating kid's movies! The only problem was that it absolutely terrified my brother, as the only places we really knew at the time were DC (where we lived)

I'd gotten over sports stars all being younger than me (and favorites that are my exact age either retiring or being referred to as "veterans"), but I figured I didn't have to deal with that with party leaders yet. But apparently I do.

The leader of a major Dutch political party is also 30. It's sort of depressing.

One fun thing about living in Europe is that to all my friends "What Is Love?" is a hit song from their youth that has absolutely no connotations with sketch comedy.

I'm hopeful about the new Magnetic Fields in a way I haven't been in a while - they tend to be better the more Merritt tries to constrain himself to a gimmick or theme. And he seems a bit more motivated rather than obligated to put this out, which always helps.

I think that Grolsch has a definite taste to it that's different from the others. My friend really hates it, which makes me think that it's not just me.

Oh, I meant that Star Wars is going to be the WWOHP competition.

Star Wars will be its real competitor, but it's going to be so late at this point…

I can usually pick out the Grolsch (my favorite) from the others, and while I can't exactly tell a Bavaria from the other cheap pils I can tell that the really cheap ones like that are pretty terrible. But that might be from a lot of practice at this point.

All of the "basic" beers in this part of the world (The Netherlands/Belgium) are just called "pils," so I guess they all are. It kind of goes without saying, I think.

The Czech ones are really outstanding.

It really is the best hanging-out beer.
