Tasha Yar was my favorite when I was a kid because I liked any sort of fighting woman. I do wish they could have developed her further.

From what I read, they played this same New Jersey inauguration party (so not even the real one) the past two times, so they might as well sign up for a third after that.

And it's not even the real inauguration! It's some New Jersey celebration of the inauguration. I can completely believe that New Jersey would just have a standing booking with a decent Springsteen cover band for this thing.

Stop saying gummi!

My family picked King's Land as our Chinese restaurant when we moved to Denver 20 years ago for some reason, but it's never let us down. Their duck is possibly the best I've ever had.

I watched it on the BBC!

I don't know, I kind of like the change. It emphasizes that the "mighty hunters" are less successful than their mythologizing - that life as a predator is just as difficult as life as prey.

This sounds great.

Frequency issues for the translators? It would explain why a raccoon can interpret but humanoids can't.

Bad wigs and a poorly-concealed Australian accent.

Get Justin Lin to do it. He's actually good at making ensembles work.

My parents watch it because it's the only thing they can agree on, but I can't imagine that they do it in a way that they follow arcs and whatnot.

Is there anything more boring these days than the "dark" humor in these kind of shows?

Yeah, it just looks hideous. I guess that's "adult."

I'm not reading shit, Star Wars!

Honestly, Gareth Edwards is just terrible at actors. He had everything lined up - great character archetypes, good actors, believable conflicts - and instead everything was kind of dull and half-assed. Abrams, for all his faults, at least got us to care about the TFA characters, even those who got little screen time.

Gareth Edwards is terrible with actors. I was willing to forgive Godzilla, but it's really glaring and irritating in Rogue One.

I've developed heartburn issues with onions, which is sort of heartbreaking as they're delicious and make most foods better. I have to balance out when it's "worth it" to have them vs. when it isn't.

When I moved to the Netherlands, seeing adults drink milk regularly was one of my first "I'm not in the US anymore" moments. I remember in one of my first classes, which was at 1 PM, the professor, a guy in his 50s, came in finishing his lunch which was a sandwich and a small carton of milk, which I thought was weird.

They are really fucking boring, and I love the genre. JCVD livens up 2 for a bit as the villain, but otherwise they're dull, dark-looking, far too pleased with their really uninspired self-referential moments, and all in all a waste of everyone's time.
