Terrific article! Reading it stirred up all the feelings and wonder I got from the series (especially the first movie).

No mention of the mind-numbingly stupid "escape" by Gina? Or the suddenly terrible writing, offing the lead in their case becauseā€¦because the mystery has to last all season! Honestly I've been liking this show but it struck me as such a poorly motivated decision by her, and purely for narrative convenience.

The "chipmunk-zoom" struck me as a little Tarantino homage (especially after seeing Django.) But Supernatural has always been at its best when it embraced its B-movie side, so I of course, loved that moment.
