the comedy genre offers many
examples where the supporting cast are the highlight, eg Will and
Grace, Just Shoot Me and Family guy etc

Reading this story reminds me of Dr Elizabeth Goode (played by Alexandra Wentworth) in the TV series, "Headcase" (2007-09)
