There were rumors in the film that the Rainmaker had a prosthetic jaw, so I think the bandage was meant to show that in this timeline he wouldn't need the eventual prosthetic because his mother tended to his wound in time and thus he might not become the horrible Rainmaker after all.  Or something along those lines.

I admired Brick too, but the thing I disliked about it was that it was so cold and humorless. I much preferred Assassination of a High School President—also featuring Bruce Willis—which most people consider a cheap Brick knock-off (which it is, but not necessarily in a bad way).  It's definitely sillier and more

I admit I got hung up on the time travel apect more than I should have.  I spent a lot of time during the quiet, introspective parts of the film trying to deconstruct whether it was logically consistent or not (based on the rules it set-up), instead of focusing on the themes of the film, which is really what it wound

They did have kinda similar backstories, but I couldn't put together a scenario where that would make sense.  But the (SPOILER) final shot of Sara rubbing her fingers through Young Joe's hair really made me think I was missing something, especially once I realized that he never had that conversation with her.  It

Ha, I remember feeling super-awkward during that sex scene and just wanting it to end when I saw the film in theaters.  I think this was because 1) I wasn't expecting it at all, 2) it was a really quiet scene and the auditorium was absolutely SILENT, and 3) didn't he 69 her or something?  You don't see that sort of

I'd like to see that interview.  Conan's always been a master at deflecting any serious inquisitions from guests by making irreverant jokes, but those fleeting moments when he's contemplating their accusations are priceless.

Before the film premiered at Venice it was rumored to be 150 minutes but actually wound up clocking in at 136 minutes.  So your wife's theory certainly sounds plausible (although I don't know where that original estimate came from).

Oh man, that closet organizer bit had me reeling too.  "Then I realized she had a full-on man's mustache, and I was like, 'LET'S DO THIS THING!'"

Sorry, the correct answer is: "The exhilarating tension between being and becoming.  Being and…becoming…."

The sketch with Will Ferrell and Tim Meadows as terrible doctors was always one of my favorites.

Speaking of Jack Black, the bit where Will Forte plays a younger version of him bombing at a spelling bee always cracks me up.  It's one of those gags where the joke is that it goes on for way too long (which has been done ad-nauseam), but it works because Forte is just so committed to staying in character.
