Ha it's funny how some of us justify certain events in our minds during movies and others don't.  Because I kind of thought the point of no one believeing the commissioner's story about Bane's underground army was to show that his colleagues thought he was an aging dinosaur who was constantly searching for the next

Huh.  I don't know that I'd call it an art film, but I actually thought the movie's themes were pretty consistent, and that most of its plot holes came as a result of it trying too hard to drive home those themes.  Story vs plot, as someone mentioned above.  But to each his own I guess.

Definitely agree that having Wayne and Batman live on was a satisfying conclusion (even if it's less "realistic" or whatever).

Yeah the main problem was that we all wanted Spidey to have a cool-sounding voice, like the one he had in the 90s cartoon.  But Maguire basically has the most annoying voice in the world as far as paid actors and such go, and he didn't try to modify it at all when he donned the mask, so the character was basically

YES.  I really like Andrew Garfield, but man the script made Peter into a total asshole.  And that would've been fine if they'd had him redeem himself properly in some way, but they never did (eggs, really?).  And Aunt May just sat around and let him be a dick and do his own thing without questioning him at at all

I think Jim Rome put it best when he said of O.J.: "He'd be the greatest guy in the world if he wasn't the worst guy in the world."
