And they talked about bringing Sito Jaxa, the Bajoran, back in DS9. In Cardassian prison. Which I think would've been really cool. (I'm a big "Lower Decks" apologist, and I don't think S7 is generally as bad as people say.)

Masaka is gonna be mad as hell when she wakes.

Yeah, part of me regrets that the purple blood got retconned away or just plain forgotten about. (Every other red-blooded Klingon bleeds red.) It was a bit silly, but I remember as a kid in the theater thinking "purple blood! Sweet!"

I just want to say that Onion Joe Biden would be the best commencement speaker ever.

Eponymous—I honestly liked most of the "Trill" episodes. I thought they really went out of their way to do interesting science-fictiony stuff with the idea. (Are you responsible for crimes you essentially committed in a previous life? Etc.) Like I said, I'm not a huge fan of Farrell's acting, but generally she was

Calvinist — okay, that's still worth a chuckle, I guess. But it's such a typical cornball Q moment. I admit I'm not a huge fan of the guy even in his "good" episodes, and by DS9 he was pure camp.

Yeah, I remember thinking the same thing. They were essentially obstructing justice. Seems like they should have been held in contempt, at least, if that's something you can do in that kind of hearing.

Prole, I understand what you're saying — it's the valid critique of this episode. Of course Wesley will choose correctly; it's just the kind of show this is. We've had to accept that. But it's presented in a nuanced enough way that I think it works. It's not just "doing the right thing." He really DOES have to betray

Mark, Jeebus — absolutely. I never liked Riker as a kid, either. Now he's damned entertaining. Some it's because I know that he's hammered the whole time, but a lot of it is Frakes. He's constantly amused.

And yeah, once the blog is in place, somehow, some way, the real Frakes must be made aware of its existence. Because from my impression of the guy, he'd think it was hilarious.

…and she never got, like, amazing. Generally I liked the way Dax was written, and she was enjoyable to look at. But her range was always…limited.

And Locarno's being overconfident, anyway. Picard has more than just circumstantial evidence. He's got the thing with the plasma valves that Data figured out, and he's got the picture. He put those pieces together with ease. It's not PROOF proof, but it would seriously raise eyebrows and keep the investigation open.

Yeah, some of these are epic. I'm sorry to say I haven't come up with one yet. I'd really like to, but apparently I'm just not wired right.

"Masks" goes beyond retarded into Batshit territory. So I'll stick up for it. I can't help it. A bizarro pulp fever dream.

Oh, but then there was "Fascination." Truly the "Cost of Living" of DS9.

Yeah, Bashir just walks into sickbay like he owns the place. It's Early Bashir, so he's acting like a giddy child. Still fun.

Inglefinger — seems like 90 percent of those TNG edits are about how gay everyone is. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Puerile, but usually worth a couple of giggles. I like Gowron's reaction in this one.

I just watched ST '09 on a Sunday-afternoon whim, for the first time since the theater. The first time, I thought it was fun but forgettable. More of a "tribute" to Trek than an actual Star Trek film. And that didn't bother me as much as it bothers a lot of people, because as Alurin says, there's simply no way they

Apologies, mon frere de Trek. I am terrible with deadlines.

Alurin, I love a good multilingual pun.
