In addition to Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures, there was actually a failed backdoor pilot in Doctor Who at one point— sort of, it was one of those "Well, I guess you're off to have YOUR OWN CRAZY ADVENTURES!" moments, but not really a full pilot.
