Shannyn Sossamon is an excellent actress and absolutely stunning, I've always been disappointed that her career never took off after A Knight's Tale and Rules of Attraction.

I liked Video Games then was really underwhelmed by everything that followed until Ride which I thought was ridiculously crazy excellent.

If Toto writing a hit song about you doesn't count as getting one's due, I don't know what does.

Pretty sure there's no music till about the 90 second mark.

@avclub-595675a771ced4a4e62f56480fc9f893:disqus I thought Try Some, Buy Some was the absolute nadir but I really hate that 'innocent' 'child-like' voice he adopted occasionally during the 00s, really made me hate Everyone Says Hi for similar reasons. Looking for Water is such a dirge, I start yawning just thinking

Yeah, definitely with you there… Reality had some great songs (New Killer Star, Bring Me the Disco King), some good songs ruined by shitty production (Days, She Will Drive the Big Car, Never Get Old) and some just outright crap (Try Some, Buy Some, Looking for Water). Really, really glad he took a long break before

@Scrawler2:disqus  Ha, take that, psychology! Someone on the internet thinks I'm 'reasonable' based on a single, 2 sentence post!!

Still haven't heard the new Bad Seeds but seeing them for the second time this weekend and am super excited, though my first was on Lyre of Orpheus/Abbatoir Blues tour and that was one of the best shows I've ever seen so not expecting this Saturday to top that.

Miranda Richardson as Queenie was my first crush as a child. I was an odd boy and am now an odder man who hides it better.

That's easily the best smaller venue for international acts in Wellington, it'd be bollocks if restricting the numbers essentially just left that kind of gig to Bodega. Though I did meet Kim Hill at Okkervil River's 09 show

Yeah, we use it as a term of endearment in NZ.

They'll be equally moreish, no doubt.

Monday mornings for me!

Like each of his solo albums, it will be a bland, limited singer with excellent beats and production.

@avclub-7dc8b441cf4e6fe9bc806679c4579e68:disqus  here in the antipodes, you can just buy bacon & egg pies from convenience stores. It's like Neil Gaiman's run on Miracleman down here.

He also had a dalliance with John Cale's wife shortly before the June 1, 1974 gig, inspiring one of my favourite songs (Guts) with the incredible opening lines:

Blergh, you're right about that apostrophe. I'm guessing the comma (or lack there of) you're speaking of belongs after 'mail'? You'll have to forgive me, I do all my proof-reading at work and shut my brain off once I leave.

If we were doing dramas as well then surely Don Draper would be the winner.

My brother and I have long adopted the alter-egos Maverick and Phoenix Steele, the two orphans and heirs to the fortune of New Zealand zeppelin magnate's Horatio and Juniper. FACT: it has never once gotten either of us laid, though I have a handful of cards and a Greenpeace donation set-up in that name.
