I was lucky enough to see them two nights in a row that tour and, barring the In Rainbows material they played completely different sets each night.

Now I'm in Australia the selection is a lot better, especially with the amount of festivals and things like that, but in New Zealand it's pretty dire; bands have to go out of their way to play there and that combined with NZers famous reticence to buy tickets in advance of a gig means a lot of the bands that do book…

Just started Hirohito and the Making of Modern Japan. It's certainly interesting thus far (150 pages) but, given how little is known about the man himself and his motivations, there's a lot of speculation.

Saw Radiohead. Really amazing show, definitely the most high-energy of their gigs I've been to. Thom seemed to be genuinely having a good time even when saying at the end how glad he was that the tour was over . Really dug the two new songs though didn't catch their names, one in particular sounded like White Album…
