Yeah I got to that part of the post (I just finished the Silence in the Library two-parter in my doctor Who watching) and immediately skipped to the bottom - which is unfortunate because I am interested in your weekend, BFF, honestly!

I watched season 5 of Mad Men all the way through (it was the best so far I think) and devoured the reviews and comments on here. That one poster that shows up to make sexist comments about Joan and claim that they are the voice of reason in the Mad Men comment threads is a chump.

In a sad echo of this film not living up to its predeccessor, there is no way this comment thread will be as brilliant as the comment thread for Timecrimes.

Oh man I can't wait for Hot Rod… it's about to complete the coveted MYOF/New Cult Cannon double, unfortunately it's probably far too late for it to achieve the near-legendary treble with an appearance in I Watched this On Purpose.

I love Against the Day, it's a lot easier read than GR but still equally as lyrical at times, there's a particular passage where a father is saying goodbye to his daughter which is among the greatest things I've ever read.

John Cooper Clark was interviewed on the radio here in New Zealand when he toured recently and talked about how stoked he was to have his song in that epsidoe because of how much he loves The Sopranos.
