I thought that both of them would work as cartoons, something about the descriptions of Eben and Burlingame made me imagine them as something out of that old Hobbit cartoon or the early Monkey Island games.  I think the diary of John Smith would be fun to see as a cartoon, considering how it differs from the Disney

The excerpt published in the New Yorker was pretty good, but I don't know if I could read 635 pages of that voice.  I've only read a couple of his novels as of now, so I figure there's something more essential of his i could be reading before picking this up.

But, ultimately Renly was defeated by an enemy who simply wielded more advanced weaponry.  The quality of his soldiers became moot (sort of like the ability of the Japanese to repel a mainland invasion) the moment the red woman squirted black mist into the sewer.

Watching Ronnie give in and sniff that pill during the montage nearly made me vomit.  It was a startlingly accurate portrayal of that particular habit.  Well done.
