mini-rant alert: how can this show, with such a wonderful host, so much real talent (from both dancers and choreographers), hard work, and actual thoughtful judging (at least some of the time) be downsized to one-night a week, while the "clusterbomb" that is AGT has been on THREE nights this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????…

Don't worry about him. I think he'll do just fine. (i.e. you don't need narrative potential in a voting show when you look like Ryan Gosling from the nose up).

I think the ballet number was my favorite of the night. Especially Eliana, she's a favorite of mine for sure.

Did anyone else feel like they were watching two 8-year-olds dance during the first Sonya routine? It may have been a blessing that Janelle was sitting out, as I think she would have overshadowed them completely.

We don't always get a glimpse of the attitude problems some of these contestants have…until they're eliminated. With this guy and the new york hip-hopper, I thought: phew, they dodged a bullet!

If I understood the preview correctly, the first hour will be the reveal, and the second hour will be the top 20 dancing together. I assume without pressure of competition??
