They could write an iterative computer program to factor in things like strength of schedule, scoring differential, turnover margins, QBR, etc. to determine which team "deserves" the first possession. Then they could chuck the outcome of that algorithm and have whatever AP reporters showed up at the game vote on it.

Why did the ref catch the uncalled coin? Did they all somehow think the first toss would be predictive of the outcome of the next? It was still truly smoooove, however.

Listening to the first few tracks this sounds a lot more like Heavy Vegetable than Dinosaur Jr. Probably the lack of both nasal whine in the vocals and ripping guitar solos.
