Hey, I'm a pretty huge snob, but I loves me some dance/pop music.  It's just that I don't think Femme Fatale is the best representative of this year in dance/pop.  Others have already mentioned Cut Copy, Justice, Robyn, etc, etc.  I mean, this isn't even the best Britney album…  I totally understand people digging on…

I'm an ol timer too, but this list is in no way obscure.  It's boring as all get out, but it's not obscure.

Yerp.  I liked Fishscale better, but any year with a Ghostface album can't be that bad of a year for rap.

I don't really see the humour.  Drake was raised in a upper-middle class suburb of Toronto.  All of the "indie loving emo kids" have just as much "street cred" as Drake.  Possibly more.

It's a great album, M83's best and closest to the true form of M83.  Shocked it isn't here.

Yes!  Agree, it might not be one of the best records of the year (although its much better than about half of this list), but its one of Sloan's best albums in awhile for sure.  And I loves me some Sloan.
