I'm glad I'm not the only one who is bored by the current state of "hip" music. I've tried so hard to like Real Estate and Wye Oak, because everyone is constantly raving about them. But…no…no.

That is true, but if there is a pretty large consensus about albums in the AV Club comments section, you know something's wrong. Albums are being mentioned by people, and close to everyone is agreeing they should be on the list. I have never seen that before. (Except for Dawes. Obvs.) Even in the Community…
I have to assume this is the fault of the system they used to tabulate the list. Because if not, this list is just…well lets go with "deeply flawed", as you said. I mean Drake? Really, Drake? I understand that music is an art and art is subjective but….DRAKE?
That video is a crime, as the Matt and Kim song played over, not only the best Britta moment, but possibly the best Community moment.
Good news! You don't ever have to listen to an Animal Collective album! You never did! You can listen to whatever you want! Oh joyous day!
Couldn't agree more. Watching Burt's mind trying to reconcile this new information was the hardest I laughed. The way the scene lingered just a little too long, only to be cut off by the credits when he actually begins to say something was very well executed.
Agreed. Judging a band by their SNL performances isn't fair. Just about every band I've been excited to see (TV on the Radio, Arcade Fire, the Strokes, Radiohead) have totally sucked. Kanye was pretty great though.
I think by this point, they've made more "electronic" records that "rock" records.
Kid A is their best record. No need to return to guitar rock, although when they do, they kill that as well.
Ahh! I see what you are referring too. I would draw a line between critical acclaim and awards however. While TBBT has won awards for Jim Parson, the show itself is generally lambasted by critics. (Hence my criticism of the award system). Same for Mike and Molly. These are wildly popular shows, that win awards…
I'm sorry, I was being flippant. My point was that just because this body declares an actor or actress to be the "best" doesn't make that decision some absolute measure of quality.
Well the Emmys are never wrong! So…
Judging solely on the fact that you're commenting on a tv blog, about the current state of TV, I'd say you DEFINITELY have 12 spare hours or so…
Seems like most people here are mad at the dummies who'd prefer to watch droning garbage, and the broken system which supports this droning garbage, as opposed to the networks who cancel these shows.
"Now is not the time to discuss this, but I will need to eat your umbilical cord later."
I thought this was one of the episode's best lines. Very well delivered by Krakowski.
You stopped watching an entire channel, because a woman who annoys you is on one show from said channel? Suddenly, your opinions seem incredibly idiotic. I was not a fan of Olivia Munn either, but now that I know you dislike her as well, I'll have to reconsider.
1) While Aquaman may have dropped the long-haired, bearded, hook hand look, he is still decidedly bad-ass. Britghest Day is killing it. He's the freaking King of Atlantis! I think most of his "lameness" stems from the fact that he's reliant on water, and therefore somewhat limited.
@Trenchant Warfare
I'm just glad it wasnt related to the Joss Whedon skirmish.
