I'd go easy on throwing out the insult "gay" supercrotchinator, when you just admitted to playing Magic cards. The youth I see playing that ridiculous Quidditch game are at least in shape. Not like the hobgoblins who reside in comic shop basements, tapping mana. Your nerdery is just as nerdy as their nerdery.

Agreed, that was an unqualified success.

Man, guitar nerds are the worst.

This seems to have exploded since I left work. Let me say this: Leonard, I enjoy your pieces, including this one, and I also enjoy your sense of humor. And while I believe the criticism comes from a valid place, there was certainly no need for the extremes demonstrated.

See, now that qualifies as a joke.

George Hurst, William Randolph Hurst's father, was a character on Deadwood, played by Gerald McRaney of "Major Dad" fame. That's about the closest thing to a relevant comment I have to add. Also: Deadwood!

See Leonard, that's why people are upset. You weren't really being sarcastic, and if someone hadn't heard the full quote, they'd assume Whedon was an ass, and you were buring him in the fires of hypocritic justice (like Niksterino did). We're not just being mean for the sake of being mean!

I think to call it a running joke does a disservice to the concept of jokes.

I thought Armin Shimerman played the principal. Did he turn out to be a demon bartender later on? Am I in the right place?

Fox would not exist today if not for The Simpsons.

It's DIHC, not DICK.

How does Trail of Dead's records post Source Tags & Codes have any affect on how good of an album Source Tags was itself? That's some hipster-y bullshit right there. Maybe it's not a 10, maybe it is. Maybe its really great, maybe its awful. But the fact that Trail of Dead is no longer relevant is completely

To be fair, Knight did dangle Vanilla Ice off of a balcony by his legs. So he's not all bad.

If were lucky, it will remain fresh forever.

Yeah, I'm a little surprised at your comments HRN. I know a few intelligent, Indian professional-types, and they're Hindu. And Hinduism actually has a lot of interesting philosophical interpretations of the "mumbo-jumbo" aspects of the religion. It's possible to believe in reincarnation and be a scientist.

If this show can keep up its quality, and the creators/writers/actors can commit to only doing four seasons, and ending it in a stong, conclusive way, while the quality reamains high, I would have no problem calling this the greatest comedy series ever to air. But there are a lot of if's there…

If Jeff Graduated high school when he was 17, he would have received his Law Degree at the age of 24, or possibly 23. (This assumes a) his fake BA took 3-4 years to get and b) his law degree was real) As an articling student, its possible he would have handled this case, but not likely. As a first year associate,
